We are alive!

Surprise!! You do not need to blink twice...I have finally updated this blog page!

Reports started early in the week of 2-4 feet of snow on Friday into Saturday! I had my doubts, but did the only thing a person does here when the weather experts predicts that much snow...I made the run to Walmart and then to Costco.

Thursday was beautiful, sunny and in the low 40's. Kids argued that it felt warmer. Friday the schools all around let the kids out 3 1/2 hours early. Try counting backwards to figure out when to meet them at the bus stop. Why not just 3 hours! I like the whole numbers instead.

As predicted, snow started lightly at about 11am Friday and continued until Saturday afternoon. We are snowed in, literally, with no snow plow in sight. But the kids are having a blast sledding in our sloppy driveway. We don't have to worry because no one is going anywhere unless you own a pair of snow shoes. On Friday, I dropped Morgyn off to spend the night at a friends house about 10 minutes away, well, it's turning into an extended sleepover. Not sure when we will get her back home to us. And church is canceled too.

We are happy to report that we have water, heat, and food!

Dallin misses Brittyn so much! He talks about his preschool friends all the time.

Wow what a lot of beautiful snow! I love the picture of the trees! Luke's dream is to be snowed in but I think I wouldn't be prepared enough for that. Great pics! Thanks for the update.

OH my!!!! I saw that your area had gotten a lot of snow! Hope you have enough food to last and that Morgy gets home! Sounds kind of fun though, as long as it doesn't last too long!

Good for you in being prepared!!! I love the fact that the children help us in situations like this to enjoy the moment. Have fun sledding.

SURE you are alive...so you say. I think Elvis has had more sightings than you Jeff. You didn't show up for Thanksgiving....I missed you and your family.

We are adjusting to life in Maryland! Morgyn is close enough to walk to school! Jadyn and Torbyn bus it to school! Brittyn and Mommy are home together having fun and Dad is learning the ropes with his new job. Jeff is also starting his second class towards his Masters with Gonzaga.

We had a great Christmas! Only half of our tree fit in the house. But we made it work. In the end it still filled our window and Jeff was satisfied.
Before Christmas we took a trip on the Metro to D.C. and saw our nations capital in person and of course the 76 ft tree from Montana! The kids also loved the Natural History Museum!
A couple of days before Christmas we also drove to the DC temple to enjoy the lights. Not exactly like Temple Square but it worked!
Morgyn represented our family well today with a great youth talk about service. She was very poised for her first talk in Sacrament Meeting.
